On Cue:

Rabi ul awl in the sub-continent brings with it a festivity unique to the people of this region alone. The sporadic dusting of green lights here and there near the 12th has been replaced by a full fledge month long celebration now. Most big city buildings are lit up in green after Maghreb.

The banners of different organisations welcoming the month and competing in a verbose religiosity representative of each one's own 'loyal version'.  Each claiming an entitlement to the righteous legacy of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Some claim "political governance" is his legacy. Some claim the same for  "military leadership". Some push for the re-instatement of the 'ideal khilafah'. Some chant democratic anthems. None yet able to convince the masses to follow the beloved Prophet's sunnah in their behaviours. His actual forte was his 'Ikhlaq'(character) which won him all yet it faces abandonment by his loyal followers.

His strength was his true speech and honesty.

He would refrain from saying what he himself did not practice. He would refrain from seeking out that which did not concern him.

He said, “Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him.” Hadith 12, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi(https://sunnah.com/nawawi40:12)

So lets try to leave  a :

Curiosity which leads to envy!

Discussion which seeks to otherise!

Criticism which seeks to destroy!

Piety which seeks prominence!

Charity which seeks a return!

Position which seeks monopoly!

#Welcome Rabi ul Awal.
