The secular conscious

This is such an interesting term. I came across it while doing a comparative study between the secular and the islamic paradigm. Having worked closely with a few religious organisations my understanding of this term was not very different from the researcher I read, the only difference being that she was questioning the secular conscious because of its non-committant attitude towards principles and permanence while I questioned the same in those who claim to be religious.
The secular conscious or mindset then is something not limited to the apparently liberal . Its something which plagues all. Its best defined with this word 'non-committance'. Not commiting to boundaries does not make a system or people more flexible. It actually makes them more rigid.
Those who do not commit to a path, do not plan to reach anywhere.
Those who do not have anywhere to go often create trouble for the rest.

Raising strong Muslims.

A mother's quest: These are trying times for the Muslim ummah. Raising Muslim children in this age of fitan is not an easy task, especially when the fitan is of bloodshed and confusion. . Is there a way to raise awareness about abuse and crime without actually causing its level to increase in the society? .
