لفظ



لفظ:

اک لفظ خود حجاب ہے
اک لفظ بے حجاب سا
تاثیر میں الگ الگ
اظہار میں جُدا جُدا
اک بے صبر، اک دلنشیں
اک ہے گماں ، دوجا یقیں
اک تخمِ بیداری بنے
دوجا بنے تخمِ بے خودی

خلوت میں جس کو نمو ملی
عزلت میں جس کی حیات تھی
قوت تھی جس میں نفوز کی
تطہیر کی، تعمیر کی
وہ لفظ اب نا پید ہے
مُو ہوم ہے ، مفقود ہے۔

ہر شے اور احساس کو
ہر نام ، ہر انسان کو
اظہار کی اب قید ہے
اس قید کا جو نام ہے
وہ "آزادیِ اظہار" ہے۔

الفاظِ حاظر میں کہاں وہ جان اب باقی رہی
 جو روح کا احساس تھی،جو قلب کا وجدان تھی

ہر لفظ ، ہر تحریر میں

لطافت سے بے اعتناعی ہے
اک سطحی سی صناعی ہے


الفاظ بھی بکتے ہیں اب
روح کا بھی مول ہے
کچھ بھی اس دور میں
اب کہاں انمول ہے۔

تو لفظ اپنے چن لو سب
کہ وقت بہت کم ہے اب
وہ چنو کہ جس کو ثبات ہو
وہ جو ابتداِ  دوام ہو
جسے
قانونِ کائنات میں
بقا ہو مکافات میں
کہ وقت بہت کم ہے اب
ہاں وقت بہت کم ہے اب !

ON RESPONSIBILITY!

The seemingly inconsequential fly buzzed around incessantly from one nose to another. Some were totally oblivious to its existence, Some bore its buzzing with a somewhat irritated expression while others shooed it away with a wave of their hand. Eventually,  it dived into a teacup. All hell broke loose. “Who let the fly in?”, “What a mess”, “Such a crappy building”, “Who left the window open?” “Who opened the window?”, “Why can’t you put a lid on your cup?”, “Why don’t we have fly screens for these doors and windows?”, “Why don’t we have a fly repellent?” A guy sitting on the far end folded his magazine and squatted the fly as soon as it landed on his desktop. That was ‘The End’ for the fly. (inspired from a real-life scene) We can roughly categorise the two kinds of behaviours/personalities described in the scenario above as ‘reactive’ and ‘proactive’.
